Article Publication Guidelines

We want to to provide our visitors with high quality, original content. To ensure that your articles meet our criteria, please use the following guidelines:

Content:

• All articles must be original and relate to either Vacation Rentals or Travel.
• Articles can not contain affiliate program links.
• You may include up to 3 links per article (optional).
• Your signature (Author Bio) may include 1 link and one email address (optional).
• All contact information should appear only in the signature / Author section.
• Title should be between 2 and 8 words.  (We recommend using up to 80 characters for best search engine results).  Do not use ALL CAPS. Do not add your company or author name in the title.
• Every article should contain at last 200 words, and not more than 700 words.  Consider separating your article into "Part 1" and "Part 2" if it's very long.
• Do not bold, underline or italicize the entire article, only the text that needs to be emphasized.
• Organize your article into paragraphs so it's easy to read it.
• Optional: Please customize keywords for your article that relate to it's content.  Keywords should be separated by a comma. Non-relevant keywords will be removed.
• Articles that are advertisements (or appear to be advertisements), will be considered spam and will not be approved for publication.

Illegal/Objectionable subject matter:

• Articles must contain Family Safe Content Only.  We reserves the right to reject any article.
• You must own 100% of the article you publish.
• Articles should not link to online gambling sites.

Benefits of submitting articles to VR Referrals include:

Your author bio can be used to promote your own website. You can add up to 3 links per article. Even if you don't have a website, your "About the Author" section can include your business and contact information.

Articles published on VR Referrals are submitted to Google News.
3. Viral marketing
RSS feeds are very popular. Your article can appear on other websites.
Your article will be published in the section topic that you choose and in your own Author section, both of which have RSS feeds that visitors can subscribe to or publish.
4. Add credibility
Publishing your articles boosts your credibility as an author.
5. Continuous traffic to your website
We don’t remove articles that have been submitted, which means that your articles can continue to bring visitors to your site for years to come.
6. Additional forms of Marketing

• In addition to RSS feeds, we will attach the html source of your article (including your Author Bio and all links) that visitors can use to manually publish it on their website.
• We will create a badge for you to use on your own website and/or in your emails. The badge will link to your articles on VR Referrals.  (Feel free to use any of the badges found on our Link to Us / Badges page)

7.  More Control over your Articles Publishing - Publishing Permissions.
You can specify if you wish to allow visitors to be able to republish your article. If allowed, your article's source code will appear below its content. If you choose the option to NOT allow visitors to republish your article, we will NOT include its source code on the page. Instead, "This article can NOT be republished without the Author's consent" will appear. NOTE: All articles previews are available through RSS Feeds.
